Today, my doctor told me my asthma was being triggered by my dad's smoking. He wrote a note to my dad, asking him to refrain from smoking while around me. My dad took one look at the note, then threw it in the trash, saying the doctor "doesn't know what he's talking about." FML

I went through the same thing with my father in law over my son. He said the doctor didn't know what she was talking about.

that's so messed up... my dad used to smoke only in his study and the kids weren't allowed there. when i learned to read and started to read the messages on his packs i asked him to please not die. He stopped smoking, became 3 times his weight and developed a cardiac condition. he's 64 now and every time i read something like this i love him more.
