Today, the last person I invited to my birthday party called and said they couldn't come because another party "came up" and they "hope I understand". It's on December 31st. This happens every year without fail. FML

This happens occasionally to me because my birthday is on Valentines day, and it turns out people would rather have some romantic ******* than celebrate my birthday! But FYL

Every last person, or just the last person? Because if you have trouble handling one person declining your party invitation you are messed up.

So what? My brother's birthday is December 31st and he usually just celebrates it a week or two later (if he celebrates it at all). It's not a big deal

I understand ur situation...coz my birthday is also Dec 31st. Even my family has forgotten it so FML twice. I am coming up with some crazy ideas...get to know people on Facebook whose birthday falls on the same day...and organise a party with them, New Year's party plus birthday, twice the fun! Last year I was in the library studying for exams, and this year I'll be at church's prayer'n'praise meeting:) Happy birthday~

my bday is at the end of summer and i always had my bday party in the middle of august because everyone was busy getting ready for school. ydi for not being able to figure out something i realized in 2nd grade.

My birthday's Dec. 30, and I had a friend apologize because I had no plans for New Year's Eve--she said she offered to take me out for a drink on my birthday the day before--which was supposed to make up for having nowhere to go New Year's Eve????

Haha my birthday is the 31st too. I just go to some big New Years party, and have my party the week after.

what you do is throw your party on the 30th of december, since you guys will be up all night anyway, then at midnight its the 31st, which would mean you are celebrating your birthday right on time. thats what i do every year for my birthday, works everytime.
