it's amazing how many of you self-absorbed douchebags will take an fml post and make it about yourselves. I'm looking at YOU # 2, 3, 4, 9, 11,19, 31,33, 34, 36, 37, 42, 44
its not new years eve! its the 28th!
The person who posted this FML clearly stated that her birthday is on the 31st of December, and not the 28th.
#54... shutup, theyre just saying that they can relate.
Yes it sucks that your birthday is on a major holiday, but have you ever noticed how MOST people celebrate their birthdays on a different day than the actual date? If people want to have a party, they have it on the weekend before or the weekend after their birthday, rarely on the actual date. So if you have to have your party on a different date, this doesn't make you special or gypped or anything. It makes you perfectly normal. Plan your parties for some time in early January and stop complaining.
i know a lot of people that have december birthdays that celebrate their half-birthday instead. so instead of trying to throw a party on new year's eve, throw it on june 30 (or around then).
Try throwing your birthday party on another day. You should have realized this by now if it's happened before... You deserve it.
Eh, I say FYL. Sure, you can change the date of your birthday party, but it's not like you CHOSE to be born on that particular day. And I gotta say...your friends kinda suck. My birthday is October 30th and my friends are always down to celebrate with me instead of going to "other" Halloween parties, or at least do both, not just flat out ditch me. (And yes, trolls, I am aware October 30th is a day BEFORE Halloween, but sometimes, depending on what days they fall on, people would rather celebrate on the 30th, or even the 29th...)

ever tried having it on a day you know won't have huge parties going on? ydi
This happens occasionally to me because my birthday is on Valentines day, and it turns out people would rather have some romantic ******* than celebrate my birthday! But FYL
