Today, the last person I invited to my birthday party called and said they couldn't come because another party "came up" and they "hope I understand". It's on December 31st. This happens every year without fail. FML

Seriously get over it, and have your party a week late next year. Most people can't have their parties on their birthdays, so it's not a big deal. It's not like you were born on February 29th or something.

I think some of the assholes on here are people who don't know what its like to have birthdays around holidays.... Mine is a week before one and I still have people bein asses, no matter if I make it somethin cheap... and not like I'm expectin gifts either.... then there's people who DO say they'll come but don't... At least the ones that are honest and up front about not wantin to bother goin to your party are better.... So no, people, even having it on "another day" doesn't always work... some people are just assholes and you wonder why you're even friends with them.................. then you have to decide if you want to be petty or be the bigger person to show them how much of a better person you are when their birthday comes around.... cause god forbid you point out how they ditch your party but expect you to come to theirs.... sigh
