Today, my girlfriend of nine months made a huge scene in public, calling me a "cheating bastard" because she saw me with another woman at the library. That "other woman" is my Calculus tutor. FML

You were staring too hard at her curves; your graph was tending towards +infinity and your girlfriend saw it. I wouldn't count on things going any better without a well caluclated apology. If she still hasn't forgiven you after you get to the root of this misunderstanding, then this is a bad sine for your relationship

If there's no trust in the relationship it just won't work. But try explaining to your girlfriend that it was just your tutor. Let her calm down first tho! Or else things can get worse.

Well, it really depends on the circumstances. It's possible that OP's girlfriend doesn't usually act like that, but she was just feeling extra emotional and sensitive at the time and couldn't control her emotions. Of course, if she does act like that, then yes, get out while you can OP!

Well if she made a scene in public and called him a cheating bastard before finding out what the situation was, I'm willing to bet she's just bat shit crazy and the crazy will progressively get worse. Lol

That's not very different from what she did - because based on *single* accident you jump to conclusion and decide to end the relationship. Everybody has a bad day once in a while, maybe she wasn't feeling well. Of course, if such behavior turns into habit, that'll be another story.

What a crazy bitch! She couldn't just question who that was calmly without accusing you of cheating? Either she's way out of line and overreacted or you've done some shady things in the past 9 months to make her suspicious.

Always seems like a very large generalization. I most certainly do not think my man is cheating every time he's near a women, some people have faith in their relationship. There's also quite a few guys that think the same if their partner is around another male. Crazy is not a trait limited to females only.
