Today, my boyfriend woke up wheezing terribly, aching, and sneezing. He's allergic to cats. I have 2 and they are my babies. He gave me an ultimatum, him or the cats. I haven't figured out how I'm going to tell him that I choose the cats. FML

Today, after being diagnosed with cat allergies, I explained to my cat-loving boyfriend that the doctor strongly recommended not allowing the cat in the bedroom. At 1:30 a.m. my boyfriend got out of the bed to go sleep in the spare room because, "the cat is sad." FML

Dude, you're ******* insane. you think that if you love an animal, you're crazy. Well that's not how it works. If you love your parents, stop ******* loving them. it's creepy and disgusting. How do you know she won't get another boy that LOVES CATS? many boys in the world aren't allergic to cats. And, what if she breaks up with him? just because they are boyfriend and girlfriend doesn't mean they're married. You probably have never truly loved something before.

Aw, I'm surprised so many people YDI'd this. You obviously weren't compatible. I would lose it if I couldn't have pets in my life. You'll find someone else. I mean, I'm sure it'll be really painful and absurd for him to hear that he's been dumped for this, but at least you recognize it and can be tactful.

Oh, I dunno - my cats quite clearly disagreed with me on several matters, but I'd still choose them over someone who tried to tell me to get rid of them. ;)
