My boyfriend's college roommate a few years ago started singing Christmas music in September--with headphones on, so all that my boyfriend heard was the kid's horrendous singing voice. He would sing all the time and never leave their room so there were several times when he came over just to get away from the singing. The kid only lasted a single semester at our school. My bf got a way better roommate the next semester.

No one's punishment should be that severe.
