Body issues
Today, a guy I know asked me out after me losing 75lbs. I declined because I don’t want to be with someone who only wants me for my body. I asked him, “Where was this energy two years ago when I was 75lbs heavier?” He replied, “Can you blame me?” And people wonder why us women choose the bear. FML

The bear analogy is for men being dangerous not for you to use it cause some guy is aware that he's not attracted to larger people. Dont use that to try and make yourself feel better about getting rejected when its supposed to be used in regards to violence. God forbid someone knows what they are attracted to and it wasnt you at the time.

Girl you’re better off without that misogynist pig. He obviously thinks love and relationships are transactional. “I’ll only date you if you look a certain way.” How pathetic.

Getting bent out of shape because other people have (gasp and clutches pearls) personal preferences is a ridiculous approach to life. Grow up or grow old alone and bitter.

The point is either way she is still the same person and if he wasn't interested in her before, why is he now? Only based off of attraction and not her personality. Why would you choose to be with someone who has no real personal interest in you?

Have you ever, or would you, date a man who was in the same weight category as you were? Because if not, then that's double standards.

All these YDI votes disgust me. That's what's wrong with society. Women are expected to look a certain way, and if they don't, they're automatically considered unattractive and not worthy of a compassionate relationship. I understand people have to be attracted to their partners, but the world is too shallow.
