If you are an adult then have you considered not discussing topics or your doings that might be frowned upon by your mum. Or you know cut ties. Family also needs to earn respect, and learn boundaries. Why on earth would you let someone destroy your passion or interests just because they don't understand it. I don't like Christmas, I don't celebrate it and have no religious ties and yet I'm happy for my friends and family who choose to and are enjoying themselves. Like not every disagreement has to be converted. One life, make sure you live it as you want, not as everyone else wants.
Is she a JW? I’m not aware of any other hardcore Christian so vehemently opposed to celebrating Christmas; it’s my understanding most Bible thumpers have a hard time shutting the hell up about it.
Several "puritanical" sects like Plymouth Brethren also consider Christmas to be a pagan holiday (they are not entirely wrong).
If you are over 18, take the disowning and say “see ya” to mom. Spend the holiday the way YOU want to with out the toxic moron ruining it
Some Christians believe that Christmas has devolved into a crass, materialistic commercial hellstew. It's nice when they can find common ground with atheists and heathens.
If you're an adult and live elsewhere, I'd take the disowning as a way to escape. Hell, go carol singing at her house if it seems she might not disown you.
Burn her at the stake, only logical conclusion.
