Today, I went shopping at a thrift store. I found a really cute top that fit me perfectly, so I bought it. Afterwards, I noticed the original tag was still on it. It read: "designed with your pregnancy in mind". It was a maternity top. FML

Today, I finally found a cute dress that hugged my curves and hid my imperfections. I wore it to my friend's house, and was feeling pretty good about myself, until some pregnant woman walked into the room wearing the exact same thing. It was a maternity dress. FML

Today, I went to a thrift store and found heaps of clothes that I loved that fit me perfectly. Then I found a special distinctive dress. My dress. My dad had thrown away heaps of my clothes and I had to buy them all back. FML

Today, I bought a new, expensive dress for a date. I left the tag on and hidden in hopes of returning it later. Someone saw it and ripped it off for me to "save me from embarrassment." FML

Today, I was carrying some bags out of a store, and my shirt had scooted up a little. I had no free hands, so I ignored it. A woman stopped me to tell me that bare midriffs are only attractive on skinny girls, "not fat ones." I'm 6 months pregnant. FML

Today, I went to Seattle with my mom to visit my pregnant sister, only to end up being dragged to a store to buy maternity clothes. The saleswoman apologized to me repeatedly for not having a lounge for the fathers, but congratulated me on the baby. I'm a girl. FML

Today, I was at Target trying on swimsuits. I tried on a medium bottom and was so excited because it fit perfectly even though I've gained a few pounds. My self-esteem was at an all-time high until my mom told me I could never fit into a medium. I rechecked the tag. It was an extra large. FML

I wouldn't worry too much about it. I'm only about 125 pounds and I own aout 5 maternity tops that I wear to work and I've never been pregnant either, But I bought them on sale and tehy fit me really well too. hahahha

i agree with 123 lol.. YDi for not taking care of your body.... and for all the people that are saying like, some of them fit u fine wen u get them smaller because they look like those shirts that flair out, : i dont think thats why this is an FML. Its an FML because she actually is fat and she thought a normal shirt actually fit her but then she looked at and its for pregnant women.

and also, WOULD THIS BE AN FML IF IT WAS A MATERNITY TOP FOR SKINNY PEOPLE? NO. IT MEANS IT WAS FOR PEOPLE WITH EXTRA, EXTRA WEIGHT AND SHE THOUGHT IT WAS FOR NON PREGNANT PEOPLE SO SHE THOUGHT "HEY MAYBE IM NOT THAT FAT AFTERALL" BUT SHE WS WRONG. THATS WHAT THIS FML IS. ALSO: FOR PEOPLE SAYING THAT THEY GET THEM IN A SMALL SIZE SO THEY WILL FIT IF THEYRE CUTE, OBVIOUSLY THTAS NOT WHAT THE OP DID BECAUSE THE TOP MUST HAVE BEEN IN HER SIZE AND IT FIT, BECAUSE SHE DIDNT KNOW IT WAS MATERNITY UNTIL AFTER SHE BOUGHT IT.
