Today, I spent $500 buying my lost cat back from a jerk who thought it was his. I get home and my mom tells me that she'd sold it to the same guy for $10 because she thought the cat was ruining my love life. FML

If my mother sold off one of MY cats, I would have a fit. I know $500 is a lot for a cat, but to people who own cats and love them, it's almost like "what would you pay for your kids". And people shell out a lot more for pedigree animals, fyi. I say FYL op. At least you got your cat back. Tell your mom to leave your cats the eff alone.
