My significant other's family loves and cares about me more than my own. I've been with him for ten years. I let go of my family because it was what was best for me and my growth as a human being. It is hard to accept that your own family doesn't care, but once you do, so many doors will open for you. I wish you all the best, and just know you're not alone out there.
