Today, I had to yet again explain to the guy I live with that just because you can't see dirt, it doesn't mean it's clean. And so letting his dog lick the plates is NOT the same thing as washing up. He won't listen to me, and he uses my plates. FML

That's just gross!!! I have 4 dogs & I don't let them lick any dishes!! I love them more than anything. I cook for them regularly but, they get paper plates! No matter how much they want to, they don't lick anything I'm going to use again!!!!!!

so lock you're plates in you're room and let him buy his own dang plates because that's disgusting.

The saliva in Dogs tongues contain an organic chemical called celanissisis that is like a self sanitizer that kills bad bacteria. Technically if the dog has not eaten for 1 hr and does that it's Actually better then the chemicals you would other wise use as it kills the worse grades of bacteria leaving weaker ones for your own body to counter and thus strengthening your immune system

Wanna cite animal parasitilogy too, smart ass moron

Maybe saying "germs" instead of dirt would have helped him understand.

I'm sincerely sorry you're living with such a moron. -__-'

In their defense dogs do lick everything lol. Although I would still soak and wash all my utensils and crockery. Once done throw all their belongings in the street and change locks. Good luck

The guy you live with? Is this your boyfriend? If not, why are you living with him? I guess maybe he could be a male friend roommate helping pay the rent, but regardless, that's disgusting. I've heard of dog saliva containing something that heals/cleans, but I wouldn't eat after one. Gross...I'd either be kicking him out or making him buy/use his own dishes.
