Today, I forgot to shut off some pumps before closing the main valves that run to them. Several sirens soon started blaring at a deafening level. I'm new here and nobody else is around. I don't know how to shut the sirens off. FML

Today, the power in my village went out. This caused the back-up battery powered alarm to go off. Nobody in the house even knew our alarm worked, let alone how to make it stop. It's been going off for over an hour now. FML

Today, I accidentally bumped into the fire alarm which set off a high pitch buzzing noise that could be heard throughout the entire dorm. It went on for at least two hours and none of the technicians could figure out how to turn it off. All the girls on my floor want to kill me. FML

Today, after spending 6 hours straight working on a project at school, I decided to call it a night. The instant I set foot out of the lab, the building started screaming. The maintenance guy had set the alarm without telling me. The police had to let me out. FML

Today, while trying to sleep after a night shift, workers came to hook up city sewage service, firing up drills and shouting. An hour later, my child woke me up to tattle on her sister. Just as I was drifting to sleep yet again, the smoke alarm battery started chirping. I give up. FML

Today, at work I had to spend 2 hours cleaning up stinky toilet water. Why? Because yesterday, I forgot to turn on the septic tank pumps. The tank overflowed, and so did all the toilets. My boss is not happy. FML

Today, I flooded my entire kitchen. The water was cut off at night and I left the faucet open without realizing. When the sound woke me up at 5am, the water reached my ankles. I frantically tried to sweep it out before my mother woke up at 6am. I didn't make it. FML

Today, I lost power. That didn't stop my house alarm from running on battery, loudly informing me in a British accent, "AC power disconnected. BEEP. AC power disconnected. BEEP." It's been going on for 5 hours and the battery takes a special screwdriver to remove. One we don't have. FML

You're the best employee ever! Warning sirens blaring, job, factory etc at risk! Oh well... Lets write an FML!!! Maybe I can get help than after its moderated etc. What the hell OP...and the worst employee of the month sorry I mean ever goes too??? Surely there's an escalation too follow, don't you know your colleagues telephone numbers... So many options to pursue... You chose the best though as we are pleased to be reading this. Start a small fire somewhere secluded. This will set off the sprinklers, then people are called in to reset various alarms etc...... Plead absolute innocence. Of course, before people call me an idiot for starting fires, I AM, of course, JOKING. Do NOT start any fires OP. (you could try blowing the electrics though....)

I'm gonna guess and say you already opened the valves, shut off the pump, and then closed the valves again. At which point I would suggest running away VERY fast
