Today, after practicing a song for my girlfriend on guitar all day, I called her over to my house to show it to her. After a long speech about how "this is for you," I played for about 3 seconds before I broke a string, which slapped her in her face. FML

How close was your girlfriend to your guitar? Was she making out with it? I don't see how a string would have hit her unless she was right next to it.

My string just broke on Monday. Oh wait...its wednesday...Maybe I should buy new strings. By the way I know how you feel about this. Its tough being a sexy musician.

Does anyone find it ironic that the same people who need the ego-boost by correcting someone's spelling are the same ones who are ignorant enough not to know that "practising" is an acceptable spelling in other countries? *SIGHHHH* REALITY CHECK :P

Dude as a guitar player I feel for ya man I hope she's not too pissed off and can find it sweet that you attempted to woo her. also make sure the strings aren't too tight on the guitar.

Unless she was hugging the damn thing, I doubt it'd just snap her in the face. I've had strings break and pop out of place and they never snap like that

when a string cuts, it's like a whip...so it's like his gf was like at least 2 feet away...max 3 ft.... it sucks that you gf got hurt(and it wasn't in her eyes...), but at least your left hand is fine...xD i cut 2 fingers once...daaaaaamn.... good luck next time...=P

How long has it been since your last string change? Consider yourself lucky that you can get four packs of guitar strings for the price of one pack of bass strings.

amen. as a player of both instruments, both having strings break and having to buy new packs sucks dick. I broke a string a while ago that left a gash running down my left forearm :(
