I do feel bad for the OP, but I feel bad for her too. For all of those people who are saying that she's a pig, you might want to consider the possibility that perhaps she is still young and wants to focus on other things like her career before getting married. Some people do prefer to date each other for a long time before there are rings involved. Yes, they have been dating for 5 1/2 years, but maybe they were high school sweethearts and now are only in their early 20s, in which case, perhaps the subject of marriage may be something they have not discussed a lot.
