Nice to meet you… again

Today, my mother invited me to a nice restaurant to meet her boyfriend whom she's been seriously dating for a month. Imagine my surprise when she led me to a table and my boyfriend's father stood up, shocked, to greet me. Rather than being horrified, she is now planning double dates every week. FML

Why should they be horrified?? It's neat. Well, no, the double dates will suck, but relationship-wise, if it works with your BF and you, it will be nice. (If not it will be awkward. XD) What, it's not like he magically became your blood relation! XD

Poor you :( But what do we learn from this? Always make sure that your boyfriend's/girlfriend's parents know your own parents and that they meet in a preferably not very flattering situation to avoid any instant attraction. I just hope for both of you that things won't be totally awkward if one couple breaks up and has to see a part of the male family all the time. Good luck! (And try to avoid double dates...)

nah, I don't think they actually lived together bc the boy wasn't raised by his dad since he had been in and out of jail....but that whole situation was a lil sketchy and I am happy they didn't bring a baby into that messed up household.
