Today, I went on my first date with a girl I have been infatuated with for months. At the restaurant, the waiter came while she was in the bathroom. I ordered steaks for both of us. Turns out, she is vegetarian, and doesn't like it when men are "overly aggressive." She called me a cow murderer. FML

Today, a coworker invited me out for a date, totally out of the blue. I had no idea she liked me, but I did my best to impress. She ordered the most expensive steak on the menu, two bottles of wine, and eventually picked up and went home with our waiter. I got the bill. FML

Today, I spent hours cooking dinner for my date. When they arrived, they told me that I'd probably not paid much attention to their dating profile, as it clearly mentioned that they were vegan, and thus couldn't eat any of the food I'd prepared. FML

The OP deserves it for ordering for her instead of telling the waiter they needed a couple more minutes. It's not that hard. People do it all the time. Personally, I'd be royally ticked off if some guy ordered my food for me especially if it was steak. I'm not a vegetarian but I can't stand the taste of steak. Assuming everyone has the same tastes as you is conceited and presumptuous.

Wow. I don't have any special eating habits, but you can bet that if a first date tried to order for me, it would also be our last date. It's just a dick move. Unless you know a person well enough (i.e., my fiance can usually order for me because he knows what I would have picked anyway), or they specifically told you what they wanted before they got up, you never order for them. Even if they're not offended at the very idea, you'll have a very slim chance of getting something they like/will eat. On the other hand, the date was not going to go well even if you had only ordered the steak for yourself. She's clearly got some pretty strong views on meat.

Why are so many ***** on here voting "you deserved it"? It ain't his fault his date turned out to be a prudish twat who despises meat. if the bitch can't eat meat then she doesnt deserve the pleasure of taking your meat down her mouth. Good riddance.
