Today, I turned 22. Instead of cutting my own cake, I stood by and smiled at a friend's belated birthday party. Her birthday was actually two months ago, but she decided to have her party on my birthday. No one remembered mine but everyone got her beautiful gifts. FML

Same thing different taste

Today, I celebrated my birthday with my friend who has the same birthday by going out to dinner with a bunch of our friends. The waiter brought out a cake for my friend but not for me. No one noticed my exclusion. I sang happy birthday on my birthday. FML

Today, I celebrated my 22nd birthday. On my cake stood last year's "21" candle, to which had been added a single candle. Clearly, times are tough. FML

Today, I had my 21st birthday party. My friends told me to have the party even though it had been 5 months since my actual 21st birthday. They asked me why I didn't have one originally and I jokingly told them it was because I didn't think anyone would come. Turned out nobody came after all. FML

Today, I realized that I’ve gone out of my way every year to make everyone around me’s birthday extra special. I can’t remember the last time anyone celebrated or remembered mine. This year my “best friend” scheduled her elective surgery I’m supposed to take her to on my birthday. What a party. FML

Something worse then that happened to me: My friend and I had the same birthday, so we decided to have a joint party and go up to the lake for the weekend. NONE of my friends could go, so it was all her friends, who I basically knew anyway. By the end of the trip, we had tons of fun, then decided to open presents. She got tons, and I didn't get any. I felt kind of weird, and then they said "wait...it's your birthday too?!" FML.

It's impossible for me to show any empathy for you because you should've reminded them about your birthday. I usually can only remember the month, and have to ask them what day it is.

that is so annoying. it's happened to me once too instead they were going to my other friend's dad's business party instead.. i mean wtf. im sorry though :( maybe you can find some new friends :)
