Today, while waiting the required 5 minutes for my hair removal cream to work, my cat rubbed all over my legs while I wasn't looking. After getting clawed to death throwing her in the bath to get the cream off, all her hair on that side fell off. I now have a half hairless cat. FML

I'm sorry op. Maybe close the bathroom door next time? That almost happened to my dog. My sister wanted to experimenting on my dog after she did her legs but I was able to stop her. I hope your kitty fluffs out soon. :)

how much cream did you have to use? good lord...

Enough to get the hair off? I would imagine it would be quite a bit.

yeah but im thinking it must have been an excessive amount and highly potent if it did that much damage on the poor cat

I remember having hair removal cream once and it said to only use a thin (1/8? in. maybe less) layer to remove hair. Then it has to be on the skin for 3-5 minutes before it makes even a noticeable difference.

Look on the bright side, at least OP won't have to shave her pussy anymore!

I think that what she was trying to prevent...

#29, OP didn't feel the cat rub against her legs. The only way to prevent what happened to her kitty would be to close the bathroom door.

Something similar happened to me dog too. I was waxing and I threw all the wax sheets away in a plastic bag and left it in my bathroom to throw away in the morning. my dog got into it and got a used sheet of my wax stuck to her forehead. Long story short, I close my doors now and you should too OP (like #6 said :))

That doesn't always work, some cats learn to open doors.

Then lock the door? It's common sense.

For that to happen, you would have to really slather it on, and the cat would need to have it really slathered on as well. If it took your cat's hair off, you would have your FML be about the vet bill.

I imagine cats have much more sensitive skin than humans. It probably wouldn't take much to make them lose their hair due to dipilatory cream.

The cream dissolves part of the hair I think, so you don't actually have to use that much. I guess the cat is only missing a small amount of hair but OP exaggerated it.

Vet bill? OP doesn't mention any skin problems and hair doesn't have any nerves. Do you go to the hospital when you wax?

Poor kitty, and hopefully it didn't affect you or anything else
