I've also had problems with sink faucets

I had trouble turning an unfamiliar sink off just a few weeks ago. I was so embarrassed...but I just had to walk away.

I once got stuck in bathroom at a robotics competition until a janitor pointed out there were two separate doors, one to enter and one to exit.

The sink could have strange taps you know. At my high school, the taps aren't necessarily shaped like taps - it's a bit difficult to explain, but they're long, and like a metal stick almost. I've been going to that school for nearly 3 months and I still haven't figured out how to turn it on and off. I just carry antibacterial lotion with me now. But I can sort've relate to OP - he or she might have a weird tap.

I just wonder how u "don't know how to turn the faucet off" it's pretty self explanatory. If it's a sensor sink, it goes off by itself, and otherwise, there is some sort of knob

In her university they might have weird taps

Some places have those automatic ones that turn on when someone is close and don't turn off until you move away. But I don't believe this is the case with OP's story. I'm guessing the way to turn it off was quite obvious.

Yeah, I thought that was odd. I can sort of see not being able to turn it on, if its a weird type of tap. But if you managed to turn it on, wouldn't off work pretty much the same way?

Exactly, you pretty much just have to do the reverse to turn it off.

Some of the sink designs we have are really irritatingly complicated.

I agree its almost as bad as trying to turn on the shower at someone else's house
