Today, after struggling with an eating disorder and hiding my symptoms for months, I got up the courage to tell my mom that I need help. Then she asked if an ice cream would make me feel better. FML

If someone has an eating disorder..how do you think they'll answer that no matter how thin they actually are?

nothanks, I don't know if you'll actually ever read this, but on the offshot that you do.... Stay strong. Eating disorders are an illness (despite what others may think). You did the right thing by going to your mom for support. I'm sorry she didn't support you. I went through the struggles of an eating disorder, too. I struggled with it for 2 years before finally seeking help. Now, 4 years later, I am finally to the point where I am moving on and living life without the eating disorder. Like I said, I don't know if you'll even see this, but if you do.....I saw that you are from Minnesota too. Park Nicolette has an amazing eating disorders treatment center called Melrose Institute. I strongly suggest that you give them a call. I had tried so many things and they were finally able to help me get better and move past my eating disorder. Stay strong, life will get better and you will beat your eating disorder.

umm.. eating disorders aren't only not eating food, that why they call it an EATING DISORDER. it can be ambiguous, and mean they eat too much. if you ate 1 large pizza, an extra large coke, then half of a chocolate cake for dessert for dinner every night, and needed to stop, how the **** would you feel if your mom offered you ice cream? especially when toning down on your diet. unless you have been through this experience, you can't really talk. i speak from actually seizing in the middle of wal-mart, and having to be wheeled out in a chair because i had to tone back on my diet. what the hell do you speak from, 174?

182, I doubt her eating disorder is her eating TOO MUCH, but quite the opposite. Or, she's purging... It's not very often that obese people are considered to have an "eating disorder", rather that they just eat too much. This girl is either anorexic or has bulemia. But it's nice of you for trying to stand up for her.

ummmmmmm???? an eating disorder like anerxiea??? hmmmm seems tone like She is helping;D

I can't go to taco bell, I'm on an all-carb diet! God Karen, you're so stupid!

I won't date anorexic's because they won't put it in their mouth. I was super excited when I dated my first bulemic. She swallowed with vigor, but then after she immediately threw it back up I felt like the whole event was just wasted time. You sound fat btw.
