I have the same problem but I can't do it with the cat in the room cause I feel it's wrong but any other cat and i don't care for some reason

You should have done the "doggy" style, to scare the cat out of the room :) Cats are afraid of dogs :p

As most quadrupeds use that position, I seriously doubt that a cat would consider it "doggy style".
