Today, my sister found out she contracted ringworm and scabies from her best friend's rescued kittens. The entire family now has to be treated to prevent it from spreading. There are 7 people in our house and none of us have health insurance. FML

You realise people can't catch ring worm from other people, right? Humans are a dead end host, and without treatment, the infection will itch a bit, look unsightly and then resolve.

Almost right, you can catch ringworm from other people but as long as you don't keep re-infecting each other you're right it will resolve itself.. It is in fact HIGHLY contagious and will resolve much quicker if treated. Ringworm is passed between people through direct skin contact and by sharing objects such as towels, hairbrushes and bedding.

and number 145 maybe because its expensive and not everybody can afford it? actually, almost a third of people in the US dont have it..... so maybe you should think before embarrasing yourself.

YDI for not having health insurance...
