My mum did the same until I told her that the government probably already knew her business. Good luck OP
Every year around FAFSA time, I'd ask my dad for his info and he'd tell me, "I'll go make up some numbers." And he literally made up numbers. I would get my FAFSA kicked back 3-4 times in a row. My little brother and sister would wait for mine to get approved and use this info that was finally accepted. F your life, OP.
In all likelihood, they already do.
Why is it whenever a kid is starting school and something gets in their way it's always their dream study, class, job etc... however all along before that they are dreading having to go. Just curious
He probably just using that as an excuse not to sign. I'm assuming your dream university is very expensive to go to??
If your mom is in the picture, just have her sign her portion and mark that your parents are separating. When my parents divorce was yet to be finalized and my dad was AWOL, they accepted my FAFSA without his information.
Unfortunately I've been there and I had to wait until I was 25 to apply for FASFA.... my heart goes out to you

I imagine the Government already know his business. Especially if it's the US or UK Governments.
My parents did the exact same thing to me. They literally just flat out refused to sign anything so I could get financial aid. I had to wait FIVE YEARS till I turned 24 so Ny state would use my financial background instead of my parents. There was no other way around it.
