Today, I went on a run with the family dog. I returned home to three missed calls and a hysterical voicemail from my dad. Why? The dog was gone. Not me, his 15 year-old daughter, the dog. FML

But, if you ask me, it's not weird if the 15 year old is not home - but it sure is strange if the dog isn't!

i dont get it, and sam doesnt get it so i guess you all make no.sense and.bananas.look.good.with.water.

see, it's cos a human girl isn't gonna get hit by a car, get in a nasty fight with another dog, or get lost and picked up by animal control. that SUCKS that your dad has more faith in you than in a dog!!!

i can understand where hes coming from, you mustve intepreted wrong, youy 15 you have brains teenagers go out do whatever but a dogs different you cant call them they cant speak back and only the trained dogs know their way home so hed obviously be worried about the dog

Sounds like your dad has his priorities layed out. The world doesn't revolve around you.

Which one is the dog again?

you whiny little pubescent brat apparently he thinks you can take care of yourself and dont run off after every squirrell you see. maybe he should reconsider that.

maybe he beleives you're old enough to look after yourself, 15 isn't a baby anymore. but a dog doesn't just run off by itself. there's nothing to worry about op

Tell your father to stay quiet he's screaming in front of our house.

Maybe because you being 15, are able to independently get out of the house and the dog can't.
