Today, I went on a run with the family dog. I returned home to three missed calls and a hysterical voicemail from my dad. Why? The dog was gone. Not me, his 15 year-old daughter, the dog. FML

But, if you ask me, it's not weird if the 15 year old is not home - but it sure is strange if the dog isn't!

obviously he thinks you can take care of yourself, usually when an animal is gone they can't exactly.. find their way back.. idk..

Maybe because you're 15 and can take care of yourself and he could reach you via a ******* phone call, while the dog can't take care of itself and can't be reached if it ran away. Soooooooooooo irrational

that's good because he trusts you to be out but not the dog...

he probably figured u went out or something if the dog is gone that's bad dogs are expensive

It's not that bad I leave my house all the time and my parents don't care they might text me to ask me where I am but if my dog got out they could be worried

Obviously, the dog's more important than you. Get over it doll. :P

it could be that the dad knew that a fifteen year old could handle herself better than a dog could, so he naturally worried about the dog, but u guys dont bother to think about something u just post watevr thought happens to be in ur mind at that moment

Maybe hes just more confident that you will come home when out, while he might not think the same of the dog? Get over it
