I agree that OP deserved it 100% for cheating. But, I really have a problem with how people always think it's okay to attack or mutilate a male's genitals when he cheats, but not it's not okay to attack or mutilate a female's genitals. Whenever a man cheats, the woman usually kicks him in his testicles, but everyone thinks it's alright because it was justified by his unfaithfulness. But when a woman cheats, the man won't attack or mutilate his genitals, even if he does, it won't be justified, but instead, it would be considered sexism.
