Letting go

By KimL - 15/01/2023 10:00

Today, I learned that my ex married the girl he cheated on me with and started a family. I’m still single at 30 years old - Five years after that relationship ended. I still live at home and I’ve gained so much weight from the depression that guys find me repulsive. Glad to know my ex did so much better. FML

So take control of your health and your life. It's better to start late than not at all.

Please see a therapist. It’s the best thing you can do for yourself. And remember that if you and the therapist don’t seem to click, try another one.

You let yourself go way too early in life. You can either find a guy with a BBW kink or work hard to get your body into a shape that attracts a wider pool of men. Dating is nothing more than marketing. Either focus on a niche or make changes to appeal to the masses. Considering that you are only selling one unit, the niche strategy makes a lot of sense.

Actually (and I say this from personal experience), all she needs to do is cut back sugar and lower (not remove) most carbs. Use smaller portions. It’s been proven exercise doesn’t help you lose weight, but it does help depression and makes your metabolism better (i.e. more efficient) I did exactly what I typed, 2x in my life and successfully lost large amounts of weight both times. More recently at the age of 35-37. First time at 23-25. It’s not a diet, it’s a lifestyle change, but it does make you feel better, more energetic and it doesn’t take a lot of exercise to treat the depression that way ( mine also combined anti depressants as well) and it makes what food you eat more easily used properly to tone muscles. But just losing fat takes eating differently, and it requires not diets (which are short term), but actually defining a different role in your life that food takes.

change it then. no reason you can't start now.
