Today, I slipped on a crayon a little girl threw on the floor, causing me to drop the tray of water I was carrying, making me spill it all over her. After getting cussed out by her mom, I was fired for making a customer unhappy. FML

Wild Nights Out
Last call, bad decisions and 3 a.m. texts you'll regret until noon. Cheers.
Same thing different taste
Today, I was called stupid by a customer, after I supposedly got his order wrong. He then threw his ice cream cone on the floor, tracked it around the store, and left. While I was cleaning it up, he came back and tripped me right into the mop water, spilling it everywhere. FML
Today, I tripped over a kid at work. She was sitting on the floor with her legs sticking out into the walkway. Her mom caused a scene, accusing me of doing it on purpose. FML
Deer in headlights
Today, at my new job waitressing, I walked into a glass door at full speed while carrying a tray of drinks. Not only did I spill everything, but I also left a weird make up face print on the glass for everyone to laugh at. FML
FREAKOUT!
Today, at work, I helped out an employee who was having trouble. I even bought her a bottle of water. After the production manager decided to fire her on the spot, she went out in the parking lot and broke into several cars, including mine. FML
Today, my coworker and I were written up after we dropped a glass table, which shattered and left us with big cuts on our hands and arms. We weren’t written up for breaking the piece, but because a nearby customer heard us both swear in pain and reported us. FML
Today, while babysitting my neighbors' kids, their oldest son used a paint pen on the carpet. The boy blamed me and I got fired. He's only 3 and can barely talk. FML
Snowflakes
Today, I bumped my head on a tool box. When it happened, I yelled, "Fuck." I got fired from my job for cussing. FML
Today, at work a little girl wanted a slushie. Instead of pushing the tab in, she lifted it up and broke the machine, spilling slushie all over the floor. I was the only one working, so I had to clean it all up. I spent the rest of my shift covered in red slushie and smelling like cherry. FML
Today, as I was bagging groceries, I looked down to see a 6-year-old urinating on my shoes and the floor next to me. I told his mother that he should take her kid to the restroom, only to be told to "mind my own goddamn business." I was later fired for arguing with the customer. FML
Today, a kid got his hand stuck inside my store's giant gumball machine. He started crying, and his negligent trainwreck of a mom bitched me out for being "unobservant." I'd been mopping up the mess she'd made after she'd spilled an open can of beer all over the floor. FML

Sounds like a shitty job anyways. You've got to do menial chores around spoiled rotten brats with their obnoxious, abusive, arrogant parents and are backed up by spineless, obsequious management. As with a cheating boyfriend, you can do better. Begging for small change under a bridge would be more dignified than working at that shithole with those shit people.

The customer is always right? Not this time.

This is why I hated working at a movie theater this past summer... You can't please ANYONE! And the customer is definitely not always right :|

Summer time is when all the great movies come out! (: Gotta take the good with the bad. Every job has a down side.

#22, not this summer. Except for "Ted," every big Hollywood movie I saw this summer sucked big time.
Enslaved 38
Summers are all about Action. The Avengers, Dark Knight, Spiderman, Abe Lincoln. Etc... To name a few. I enjoyed the movies that came out this summer. But I agree, Ted was indeed a great movie. It's up there on my favorite comedies list.(:

#16, I've been living in Wisconsin too long. I was curious why you were comparing a misbehaved child to a delicious sausage that goes great with sauerkraut and beer.

Damn people like this make me want to pull my hair out. They irritate me to such a point. I hope you told her what you thought after you got fired.

This is one of the reasons I don't like children in my work place. They always get in the way, yet it's always the employees fault.

How do you slip on a crayon?
eggmarie 25
Easily.
KiddNYC1O 22
You've obviously never used crayons.

If that's you and your baby in your photo, unfortunately you'll have the opportunity to learn within the next couple of years yourself.

If you are clumsy enough to slip on a crayon, why are you working there? And stop trying to blame your problem on a little girl, im sure she didnt do anything intentionally.
Bludmagnus 13
You are very naive if you think that there are not children who do things like that intentionally. Also, no one immune to tripping and falling over or after stepping on, things that small. Stop with the "I'm perfect" crap, because you aren't. Finally, no, this person didn't deserve to get fired, but I am certain there are people at your work place who think you deserve to be terminated as well and that they could do your job better themselves.

It sounds like you're working in a restaurant. You should be aware of objects on the floor and not blame your problems on a little girl.
fleur_de_fevrier_fml 23
You cannot be aware of everything around you unless you're a sparkly vampire ;-). That's why people trip all the time. Besides, the little girl might have thrown it on OP's way.
