Today, I saw my girlfriend at the store and joyfully greeted her. She got really mad at me - it was her identical twin sister, who I still cannot tell apart from my girlfriend. We've been dating for three years. FML

My fiance has an identical twin and I've *always* been able to tell them apart. They have vastly different personalities and it shows in how each of them stands -not to mention how they dress/groom (or lack-thereof) themselves... So FYL because I know lots of people that can't tell my fiance and his brother apart, but YDI for not figuring out a way to distinguish your g/f and her sister after 3 years...

Ask your girlfriend what to look for. I only know one pair of identical twins, they spent time finding every difference between them to help people identify them. Maybe she and her sister have done the same.
