Today, after holing myself up in my room for the day, I eventually turned my phone back on and told my girlfriend that my grandma passed away today. She replied, "Ask me if I fucking care," then accused me of not caring about our relationship because I went offline all day. FML

Today, I proudly gave my grandma a picture I had drawn for her. She didn't seem thrilled with it, and afterwards the rest of my family seemed upset. Nobody could fathom why I drew grandma a picture of a graveyard for her 85th birthday. It was suppose to be a bridge. FML

Today, I took my girlfriend out for a romantic dinner, since we can't see each other this Valentine's Day. Halfway through, my aunt called, telling me my grandma had died. I had to leave because I was crying so much, leaving my girlfriend with a very pricey bill. FML

Have you given her not to trust you in the past? If not that's pretty extreme and she should trust you. Even if you've cheated before, if she decided to stay with you she needs to get past it because that's not a healthy relationship. Talk to her. Sorry for your loss op.

Are you sure the relationship's really worth stuff like that? If the people involved in a relationship don't trust each other (or even just one) it's not going to work. Whether or not you've given her previous reason not to trust you, if the trust cannot be regained then it's not going to work and it's usually time to move on.
