Today, I found out the identity of the pervert who's been staring at me through my bedroom window in the late hours of the night. My parents and I decided to set out a trap for 'him' instead of reporting to our local cop. Turns out, we caught my 37 year-old neighbor in the act. He's the cop. FML

Today, as I was going to bed, I spotted a man staring at my window from a neighbor's yard. Ten minutes later, he was still there. I freaked out, started crying, and contemplated calling the cops. My creeper turned out to be the neighbor's wooden lawn ornament. FML

Today, I caught some perverts sitting in a car in front of my house, spying on my neighbors. When they refused to leave, I grabbed a baseball bat and they sped off in a hurry. Later, those same perverts came back to arrest my neighbors for drug trafficking. I had threatened cops. FML

Today, I heard my neighbors having a violent argument in their front yard. I listened in, and soon found out why the wife wasn't happy with her husband. Apparently, she had caught her husband peeking through my windows for the second time this month. FML

Today, I woke up to NYPD detectives banging on my door with flashlights, looking for some criminal who used to live in my house. Apparently, when they showed the man's mugshot to my neighbors upstairs, for some reason they identified the man as my husband. FML

Today, me and my friend decided to spy on my crush. He lives across the street, so we climbed on the roof of my house and watched him with binoculars. He was working out, and after 5 minutes he started writing something. He put a piece of paper against the window and it said, 'Stop watching me.' FML

Today, my neighbor - whose first words to me when I moved onto the block were "I don't like your face" - called the cops and claimed I'd been exposing myself in public. His lowlife buddy backed him up on his lie. I'm pretty sure I'm going to end up in deep trouble thanks to them. FML

Today, I came home from work and went to open the door. I Iooked through the window and saw a man in my house. Terrified, I called the police. They came, searched the house, and found nothing missing. I went back inside and looked through the window and saw him again. It was my reflection. FML

Wouldn't it be nice if they invented some sort of way to cover your window to keep people from looking at? Maybe even add an easy way to uncover it if you want the view outside during the day. Oh, wait. They did.

Thank god you caught him! If you had just reported a peeping tom, he just would've gotten sneakier and you wouldn't have known. And, people shouldn't NEED blinds to keep people from looking in their bedroom windows at night! In a perfect world, people would respect others' privacy.

In a perfect world, we also wouldn't need cops ;) #10 There are countries where no one draws blinds and where it is a strict part of the culture not to look through any other's windows at all, at no time of the day. However, here in Germany - and I guess in most other industrialized countries too - it is considered impolite but not highly offensive. So if she doesn't draw them at late night until sleeping, then one has to wonder why. We would ask the same question if this FML were submitted by a man complaining about being watched by a woman - bet that people would say "You're asking for it" if the sexes were the other way round? By the way, in German the word for Window blinds is "Jalousie"; the similarity to "Jealousy" is no coincidence, for they were inspired by oriental harems. Maybe she should stop giving peep shows, so that her fan won't have any chance for peeping...

It's possible there is only one cop in her town, my buddies town is like that. They only have 1 Stop light, and one cop. And the cop doesn't work on weekends (I.E. Everyone speeds on weekends.. Well as much as a town with only 200 people can speed).... But yes, invest in blinds. And if you can prove that he did it, by way of your "trap" then go to another town and report it to their police.

Use blinds. Every straight man will watch a hot girl or woman through her window if she makes it that easy. Hell, it probably wasn't even the cop everytime. If you don't want want them to see your goods, point up blinds.

Get him on camera peeping at you or something, and tell a different cop. Perhaps go over his head to the police chief. Also, as everyone else said, get some blinds for your windows.

All the peeping toms come out in the summertime, regardless of their position in society. At least your parents know and you've caught him. There has to be a superior to him, so report it.
