Today, when my boyfriend reffered to my hair, I told him I was going to dye it. He responded by saying, "finally, so how much you going for, 40, maybe 50 pounds?". I said dye it, not diet. FML
Today, my husband threw a fit because I dyed my hair bright magenta. Funny, I actually dyed it three days ago. He literally just noticed. Shows how much attention he pays me. FML
Today, I came home to find my girlfriend had dyed her hair a ridiculous bright color. She knows I absolutely fucking despise brightly colored hair on women. FML
Today, I got a new haircut and style. Feeling pretty. My husband got home and is not even a little interested. FML
Today, I tried to dye my hair blonde. Turns out, green hair doesn't suit me. FML
Today, I dyed my hair back to pastel pink, which it hasn't been in over a year. It goes well with my skin and I was super excited about it so I decided to Snapchat my friend about it. Her response? "You were thinner last time your hair looked like that." FML
Today, my mom was feeling down because of her gray hairs. In an attempt to cheer her up, I suggested that she dye them. Her hair turned orange. FML
Today, my boyfriend of 6 months started a bitter fight with me. The cause was me repeatedly refusing to dye my hair the way his beloved ex did. FML
Today, I found that if I want my husband to take me out, all I have to do is say that I’m trying to lose weight. Anytime I bring up dieting or weight loss, suddenly he wants to take me to every restaurant in town and splurge on sweets. Part of me wants to lose weight but I also enjoy the snacks. FML
Today, I had my hair done for the first time in 3 years. I loved it. My boyfriend told me I look like his ex. FML

@170 - no, but your close-mindedness does. and talk about insecure throwing your weight out there; you may be 134 lbs now, but who knows what you were before. and just fyi im 5'8" and 123 so it really depends on where the extra 10 lbs on you are that determine if youre fat or not :) oh, and just like you generalized that women who do "what makes their man happy... have no independence", i generalized that men tend to blurt things out and people let themselves go in relationships @172 - i never said that men were a different species, dumbass, but in my experience they tend to blurt things out without thinking. and just because he was "rude" doesnt mean he wasnt honest

What MissErika suggested is a classic "you're the woman, make your man a sandwich and be his bitch" comment. Which IS being closed minded. 84, I never once stated that you said they were a different species; I did however say you were acting like they were a different species because they're guys. They tend to, but they shouldn't. Just because they do, doesn't justify it. They can learn to control themselves the way some (not all) girls and guys do. Being rude and honest are two different things. He didn't have to shoot her down like that. He could have sat her down and explained she's gained a couple of pounds and if she'd try dieting or whatsoever.

195, it's not the same thing. A man cannot control the size of his penis, so it's not his fault if his penis doesn't have a proper size and he shouldn't be ridiculized for it. Body weight however can be controlled in most cases, so when someone is overweight, it's usually their own fault. Of course they shouldn't be ridiculized for it either, but they don't have any right to feel offended if someone simply states the fact that they need a diet.
