Today, I canceled my ATM card, because it had been lost. Then I found it. Then I found out I can't reactivate it, because I asked for a replacement card. I'm from CA, and I'm in Mexico with only 20 bucks. FML

I don't get why people are tripping out about having internet.. Um... if you are in a good or American chain (like Hilton) hotel in Mexico they do provide internet service free of charge. I am guessing OP was in a good hotel. The three times I've been there, I have never had a hotel that didn't offer free internet service and I am not rich. All my friends get decent hotels so having a decent hotel with internet is not such a surprising thing.

We had the same situation in the summer when we were checking into a hotel...my moms card did'nt work so we just went on online banking and transfered the funds to another account and since my card worked everything was good. or use credit cards
