That happened to me. To save money they said they were going to lay off most of the workers. I was the only one laid off, My last day they had a now hiring sign up. One woman quit to start her own business, The Asst. Manager was later fired for stealing over $1,00, They kept one girl who only sold to other African-Americans because they couldn't prove she was doing anything wrong on the job, They got rid of me because I wasn't selling enough warranties on the products (but above average on actually selling the products.)

If that is true the wrongfully fired you and a complaint can be put in. They could have told you "Hey you suck we cant afford to pay you if you cant deliver :)" A

This is a little late, but this is illegal. You could sue them. If you were in a union, contact it.
