Thanks, I guess…

Today, it was my birthday and everyone in the office chipped in to buy me a card, and nothing but a card. It had a pre-written message on it and a space to write "Love, *insert name*" where everyone signed their names. The "Love" was crossed out and replaced with "From". FML

they may have actually been trying to be respectful to the people who were signing it and/or complying with company policies

Haha some idiot went out and bought the card. Then the person who was actually behind it freaked and probably had to fix it.

10 - If they'd WRITTEN "love, ___" then you might have a point. But to go so far as to cross it out ... ouch. haha happy birthday?

eighteenth. kidding. lol. maybe they don't like you, but tried to be thoughtful?

that sucks, somewhat. but if they'd all said "Love ..." it'd be a bit creepy. maybe you're new to the office or something. But still, they remembered your birthday at least :-) so happy birthday Gabrielguitar!

Well I know that when we made up cards for work people there was big drama about whether you should write "love" or not. I always did sign with love because I don't give a damn, but in the work world that's kind of touchy. I wouldn't read much into it unless they don't seem to really like you in other respects. Oh yeah, and 20th. Just so I can join that bandwagon.
