Oh dear
Today, I received an e-mail from the girls at work. It was an invite to lunch, but it said, "Lunch today at Camber's, PLEASE don't tell Françoise, I don't think any of us can take any more of her!" I'm Françoise. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Today, I got an invitation to the "Going away lunch" the company is throwing for me. I didn't know I was leaving. FML
Today, me and my coworkers were making fun of this girl we work with. I drew an ugly but funny picture of her and thought it was fun to email it around the office. I sent it to a coworker named Joann. Or so I thought. I actually sent it to another Joann, who is one of the directors of the company. FML
Today, I work as an executive assistant. My French boss wanted to do business with a big American customer, so he sent her an email suggesting a meeting. He copied me so that I could arrange said meeting. He had written, "Have your ass talk to my ass." FML
Today, I came home for lunch. I saw a sandwich on the table with a note saying, "I hope we can have a healthy new relationship, Love, Carissa." I saw another note from my girlfriend next to it saying, "I hope you enjoy your new relationship with Carissa." Carissa is my new step-mother. FML
Today, during lunch, my coworker offered me her food, claiming she was full. I was still quite hungry, so I accepted it. Halfway through eating the sandwiches, my boss walked in and started interrogating people over who took his lunch. I quickly realized I was the one eating it. FML
Today, it was my co-worker's birthday but she told me not to mention it. Feeling bad for her, I went out to buy her a card, a present, and even a small cake. It turns out that there was actually a party during our lunch break, and I was the only one in our office not invited. FML
Today, after a big presentation, people sent an open invitation to dinner. When I asked which restaurant and what time, I was told that I wasn't invited. I've been here for three years. FML
Today, I told one of my coworkers that she looked really cute today. Later she sent an email to me and cc'd the entire office saying, "It really makes me feel uncomfortable when you say things like that to me. And I shouldn't have to feel that way at work." FML
Today, I found out my two favorite heterosexual female coworkers are cheating on their partners with one another. I kinda wish someone had invited me. FML
Today, I went to my girlfriend's job to surprise her for lunch, her manager said she hasn't worked on a Saturday in two months. FML
Feel like sharing it with the other FML users?
Thanks, your FML was submitted, and will appear in the moderation queue soon!

I hope you either a) emailed her back saying thanks for the head's up that you weren't wanted, or b) just showed up anyway

What you could do is "Reply All" and write something like, "I know I received this unintentionally, but I want to apologize for being intrusive, and I hope you all enjoy your lunch." You take the high road and they'll feel absolutely ashamed.

Maybe this can serve as a wake up call that you're annoying/bitchy/whatever and you don't realize it. The fat kid that hangs out with the group and is really annoying usually doesn't realize he is annoying, but everybody else knows that everybody else knows he's annoying. I'm sorry, but people don't avoid others for a reason. So what if they didn't want you to attend? They have no obligation to spend time with you. I certainly don't want to spend time with people that annoy me or I don't like, so long as I can avoid it. They could have said much meaner things, such as name-calling or have just been much more crude. Essentially, she just said she doesn't want to spend any time with you, and she's entitled to that desire. So get over it. She doesn't like you, and she probably has a reason. Figure out what that reason is and fix it. I don't know why so many people are giving you such an incredibly large benefit of the doubt. I've never heard of somebody "not being able to take any more of a person" unless that person TRULY was annoying or overbearing. So work on becoming more bearable and you'll probably have friends who want to hang out with you.

Wow, please give submitter the benefit of the doubt people. One email from a very childish coworker does not give us enough reason to assume that it's true.

Sucks that people went behind your back like that, but perhaps if you look around there might be a good reason for it. I don't know you personally so I won't say more than that.

They hate you because you're French. Don't feel too bad; it's not your fault you're descended from a bunch of arrogant pricks.
