Today, I called my boyfriend to have a shoulder to cry on because my grandpa died. As soon as I told him, he started crying and telling me how much he missed his grandmother, who died six years ago. I spent the majority of the phone call listening to him wail. FML

Today, one of my closest friends and I got into a fight. She ended the conversation with, "My grandma just had a stroke. Bye." I didn't believe her so I replied "That's great. Bye." Turns out her Grandma is in the hospital in critical condition. FML

Today, I took my girlfriend out for a romantic dinner, since we can't see each other this Valentine's Day. Halfway through, my aunt called, telling me my grandma had died. I had to leave because I was crying so much, leaving my girlfriend with a very pricey bill. FML

Normally I'd agree, it's very stupid to break up with someone so hastily. Though I'd assume when OP called, she sounded incredibly upset, which her boyfriend should have heard and thought maybe the phone call was more important than a video game.

I hope your 'boyfriend' is now an ex!! That is horrible!! He shoulda been with you at the time anyway instead of playing on his xbox! Even I know that and I am a total gaming geek!! xx Honey, you deserve better! And I'm sorry to hear about your grandma. I know what you're going through, cancer runs in my mum's mum's side of the family I've lost quite a few relatives to cancer!!!!!
