The proper response was, "Not at all, let's go!" Or better just grab her ass, and nod your head toward the door, with a smirk. That'd be the the best way to know your place, and inform her of your intentions. I've broken our of friend zones plenty of times that way. ;). Be strong, she might second guess your place with her.
