Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Today, I finally worked up the courage to tell my boyfriend that I wanted to go separate ways. Before I could say anything, he proposed. FML
Today, I told my girlfriend I wanted to tell her something important. Coincidentally, she did too. She wanted to tell me that she thinks she's actually gay. I wanted to tell her I love her. FML
Today, I finally got the courage to go up and ask out the girl I have loved for a couple of months now. After she said yes, I was over the moon and ran home to tell my roommate. The next day, I saw her making out with another man. When I confronted her, she said "Oh, you were serious yesterday?" FML
Today, I worked up the courage to tell my girlfriend that I love her. She made a face like she'd just sucked on a lemon and said, "Um... yay, I guess...?" and awkwardly left the room. FML
Today, I told the man I love to "go first" when we started talking at the same time. I wanted to confess my feelings, he wanted to tell me about his engagement. FML
Today, my ex-girlfriend started dating the guy she told me not to worry about when we dated. FML
Today, I finally told the girl I've been after for more than a year that I'm attracted to her. Her response? A slight hug with a pat on the back as she said "There, there." FML
Today, I finally mustered up the courage to ask someone out. She smiled, hugged me, and said, "That's so sweet. I'll have to ask my fiancé if he's OK with it." That was how I found out she was engaged. FML
Today, after I’ve been head-over heels crushing on a girl for years, she finally told me she felt the same. A month after I'd moved to a different country forever. FML
Today, I finally had the guts to tell my best friend that I like him more than just as a friend. I was about to tell him when he excitedly told me that he met the love of his life yesterday. FML

She could have been lying just to get the upper hand in the situation. You pretty much just broke up with her, she doesn't want to look like she's affected by it. Or maybe she's a cheating bitch, I don't know.

You're better without her.

that means she's already took another horse from the herd, and if she's not riding him yet, the saddle is in the barn.

At least you're on the same page. Er... Sort of on the same page.

That is too bad. Maybe you could have one more night or day of hot sex. Or maybe a threesome? Is she with a guy or a gal? My work colleague's wife left him for a gal, told him she preferred a woman. Good luck.

why does it matter when you left her anyway to see other people.

That's not the point. She cheated on him. Whether he was breaking up with her or not it's still wrong.

It doesn't matter if he was going to break up with her anyways. SHE did NOT know that. She cheated with the intent to cheat.

That's what you wanted, right?

It's what you wanted isn't it? What do you care if the girl YOU didn't want to be with anyway already moved on. The fact that you wanted to break up with her to see other people means you already have someone in mind. Be happy that you didn't break her heart. Typical of a guy. YOU wanted to see other people, but you wanted her to be heartbroken over you.

If he had to work up the courage to break up with her, then I seriously doubt that he wanted her to be heartbroken. The real issue here is that while OP was having his crisis of conscience, his now ex-girlfriend clearly didn't have enough respect for his feelings to approach him and tell him how she felt. She chose to cheat on him instead, and that was a bitch move on her part. If anything, they should have sat down and had an honest discussion about where the relationship was going, and had a mutual break-up. That way there would be as little collateral damage as possible, and they could have stayed friends.

"Typical of a guy" Hey, bro, can you be sexist somewhere else, please? He wanted to meet other people when he was single, his girlfriend didn't even wait for that. He has all the right to feel used right now. "Be happy you didn't break her heart", ffs, she broke his trust in her. But hey, that's allright I guess, because she's a girl!

Wait wait wait...Men want to end a relationship and its "what an asshole". Women cheat and its "you deserve it"? ...Your logic is so ****** up I think your sexist ignorance may be beyond saving.
TallMist 32
What he WANTED was to not be cheated on. She's a bitch, plain and simple. And, just so you know, I'm a woman and I'm on the OP's side here. So, no, it's not a "typical guy" thing.
