Today, I had to cancel my plans to go see my grandma, because I wasn't feeling too well. I called her to apologize, but she had trouble remembering who I was. When I told her my name, she said "Oh, the FAT one." Yes grandma, the fat one. FML

My grandma had dementia too, she forgot who i was, she died when i was 8

If it is her choice... Dementia is common with the elderly. My great aunt had no idea who is was, when I went to visit she'd tell me about me :P Either way, that sucks.

Grandmothers can be very judgemental. Just disregard what she said and move on. At least you wont feel bad about not being able to visit her
