Well, obviously you now have to cut the exact size piece off the other thumb.
Safety is the number one priority. Always remember; it doesn't matter if they're all the same size. Be safer and pay more attention next time. That said, I hope you're okay.

That's why you curl all your fingers so that the blade doesn't have a chance to contact your fingers.
The blade should always be in contact with your curled fingers so that it doesnt cut you but sometimes you loose track of a finger and shit happens
Just remember, people's stomach acids will dissolve all the veggies into same-sized mush in the end.
You should even out the other thumb hahaha
