Today, I played The Sims just so I'd know what it was like to live alone, own a home, and have a well-paying job that didn't slowly kill me from the inside out. It was the happiest I've been in months. FML

Today, I woke up to find The Sims 2 running on pause on my laptop. I unpaused to find my character and my boyfriend's were no longer together. Slightly confused, I went on to find the note my boyfriend left. It said, "I hope you can take a hint." I got dumped through a computer game. FML

Today, my son was playing The Sims, when I saw him remove the door to a room and set it on fire with a Sim trapped inside. I chuckled at first, until I saw that the Sim was me. Meanwhile, my wife's Sim was happily painting in the next room, not giving a crap. All too accurate, sadly. FML

Today, my husband of ten years was playing the Sims. I asked him about the house he built. Apparently, it was his dream house, and he recreated himself as a Sim so he could live in it. Then I asked him where the wife was. There was no wife. It was his happy place. FML

As someone who used to play the original sims religiously until late 01/early 02, I can kinda understand why some are sympathizing and others are not. It makes you feel any better, Real life planning is a bitch. Plans in the sims are handled by the computer and don't usually backfire...Plans in real life backfire all the time. My real life is proof of that ;P

aww hopee yess fyl but..... you can start todayy and by getting off Sim's and thinking about what you want to do with your lifee! perhaps start with what you might enjoy doing or have a passion for? cooking, sewing, building, singing/music? Start living your life todayyyyy start now :D

*raises hand* Me, too... *sigh* We need to make a support group XD I have the lives of three sims I PLAN to make on the SIMS 3 planned all the way out. XD I'm more pathetic. I have an idea- make a sim-self, then steal their life plan. It's okay, dude. XD
