Today, the air bag system in my car somehow malfunctioned, and the air bag inflated while I was driving, causing me to lose control and crash into a street light. I ended up with a badly bruised face because the air bag had already deflated by then. FML

Today, accustomed to dealing with my old car's faulty accelerator, I pressed the pedal way too hard in my new car and crashed into a pillar, totaling the engine, and giving myself a concussion. I could still see the dealership down the street. FML

Today, I crashed my car. I saw a deer getting ready to run into the middle of the road, and I was very sleepy, so I panicked and slammed on the brakes, causing me to lose control of the car on the wet road. After I hit a tree, I realized that the deer was a plastic lawn ornament. FML

Today, I was at a stop light and a bee landed on my leg. I screamed and started swatting it. It flew into my jacket and I started to strip my jacket off, taking my foot off the brake. I hit the car in front of me and deployed the air bag, breaking my nose. Then the bee stung me in the back. FML

Today, I parked my car on the street late at night, when I was distracted by a text message. Some guy then gets in my passenger side. Panicked, thinking I was being robbed, I bolt out of my car bruising my head and dropping my phone onto the pavement. The guy meant to get in the car behind me. FML

Today, I was at a Starbucks drive-thru and was grabbing a hot coffee when I got rear ended and my car hit the vehicle in front of me which deployed my airbag. Hot coffee can really burn when it hits your face at a high rate of speed. FML

I've been in a few accidents. There was one where i should've died, regardless of the fact that i was wearing my seatbelt. That car had no air bags being an 87 buick century, but the van i got into an accident with did. And i know for a fact that if you are wearing your seatbelt, you won't hit the stearing wheel even if an airbag accidentally deployed and deflated before you hit something. So either you were not wearing your seatbelt (in which case, ydi) or the seatbelt failed as well (and as such, fyl and you should definitely sue). But i find it VERY hard to believe both failed at the same time. So i have to say ydi. Sorry about your car though, and i hope you recover fast.

Respectfully, my good fellow, that is a load of HORSE SHIT. You CAN smash your face into the steering wheel during a collision, even if you're wearing your seatbelt. My brother has a great scar from where that happened to him in an accident, and yes, he was wearing his damn seatbelt - as affirmed by the emergency response crew who had to cut him out of the car afterwards. You know it for a fact, huh? Guess what I "know for a fact"? You're a twat!
