If you guys agreed on a price to spend on the 2 horses and she was able to get the other animals also then it's a good deal. But only it you guys have the space for all of them. If she over spent then put her to work. She can go into town and work one of the corners there

Even then, the purchase price is a very minor part of the cost. You need a place for those animals to stay, a ton of money for their food, other stuff costs like vet fees etc. as well as possibly someone who has to take care of them.

Maybe it was a package deal and someone was selling all their livestock. Also, goat cheese is delicious.
