Today, my mother asked me if my boyfriend and I were getting serious. I quickly lied and said no. She then informed me that if things ever heated up that she would take me to get birthcontrol. Wanting birthcontrol, I confessed. In turn she grounded me. I am not allowed to see my boyfriend anymore. FML

That's why you can't trust parents, ever. A local Planned Parenthood center will do more for you regarding awareness and contraceptive availability than your parents EVER will.

Wait. i just thought of an idea! when she said that, you should of hugged her and said "thanks mom, we've talked about sex before but have always been to afraid to try it because we want to be safe, but we really love each other and wish we COULD be more serious" or something along those lines, then a week or so later be like, mom, i think i'm ready for that birth control you promised, and your mom. you'd end up trapping her in a corner instead.

I don't know why this got down voted that's genius

One of the weakest, most obvious traps in the book, and you fell for it. The average child would be ashamed of your fibbing skills!

the exact same thing happened to my friend. her mom let up after lots of anger. got her the birth control and let her see the boyfriend again just dont be a bitch to your mom while you're grounded. let her cool

The same exact thing happend to me!! except for the not being able to see my boyfriend part. But she still brings it up and makes me feel horrible about having sex. It's ridiculous because I thought I could trust what she had said. But now, I don't trust anything she says.

Yeah, don't tell parents anything. Too bad you had to learn this the hard way. Also, if you're gonna lie. Stick to it.

That really sucks. I have no idea how old you are but if you're over 18 then just tell her you're a consenting adult and that it's your ******, not hers, whether she likes it or not. However, if you're under 18 then sorry, but you shouldn't have trusted the lie. :/ still FYL though

why don't you just get it yourself you should know your mother better than to trust her

WTF?! what a bitchy move. soo she would rather you not be on it at all then for you to be safe just in case. you know you can go to planned parent hood right? they normally give them to you for a good price. im not sure if there is a age limit though.
