That's way over the line. Who knows what else he's done when he's mad and hasn't told you. If this were my marriage, this would definitely lead to a divorce right then and there because my trust would be completely gone at that point. Without trust, there is no point to be in a relationship. That's just me though, OPs gonna have to figure something out with this. It's just not ok.

Sponge singular? I'd be much more concerned with it giving him infectious germs when he touches it than the cream affecting you...
