Anyone who repeatedly does something horrible to you out of revenge, especially covertly, is not someone you want to be in a relationship with. That is not a healthy relationship and that is not a reasonable way to deal with problems. His confession sounds like the onset of some severe trust issues for you and possibly even paranoia about what else he might be doing and to be honest, regardless of how long you've been in this relationship, it sounds damaging and I would either leave him or see a marriage counselor. There's no reason to not take this seriously.

Hm,the FML says he does it "when he's angry," so I assume that means he's done it multiple times for whatever reason he happens to be angry about on any particular day.
