every 12 year old know sthe basic idea of sex everyone learns it at that age. but dont be hatin on the mom a lot of girls hide this kind of stuff and dont want to talk about it until its already happened. Sex before marriage is total religious opinion and not everyone agrees with it what everyone should know that it happens on your own time and if your going to do it know what can happen and make sure its with someone you really like/love. if shes 12 and already having sex thats a major issue. sex shouldnt be an act thats thrown around just for the fun of it stuff can happen it doesnt happen all the time but not many teens are ready for a kid.
this is fake, there is an older FML very similar to this
I honestly am not at all surprised...its such a natural topic these days amongst kids. I wouldn't doubt if she has lost her virginity at all. I was her age when i lost mine...6 years later, I'm still having sex with the same guy.
I think you did the right thing.
This is what followers of Islam do in Middle Eastern regions before their daughters get married... the most misogynistic culture in the world. That's ******* disgusting of you and a total invasion of privacy and dignity. No self-respecting or knowledgable doctor in any civilized country would agree to do that. Also, a hymen can break from tampons, rigorous exercise, horseback riding, an injury, bike riding, etc. Your complete ignorance about the human body is showing.
that doesnt necessarily mean shes had sex. it could just mean she wants to have sex & not even necessarily right away. i mean she couldve wanted to wait until she was 16, 17, 18ish....
I agree with everyone who's saying don't assume, she might just be feeling pressured and was hoping you'd give her an answer that sounded good. One thing is certain, you need to have a very open and honest conversation with her, because if she has had sex she needs your support even more. And support is not the same thing as permission, by the way. You just need to make sure she knows what is happening to her and what can happen.
I vote YDI because the people that hold puritanical notions of no sex before marriage are generally the same people that don't have the first clue about raising kids - hence, your 12 year old having sex.

you should keep a better eye on what your twelve year is doing and who she's hanging around with
@164 - Losing your virginity is a consequence of having sex? Shit I wish I had have known that sooner!!!
